Stacy, camera out under the South Bank

Camera in her bag, leather jacket on, 176 cm in flat boots: Stacy is ready to go wherever the night goes. She is slim and tall; her near-black brown hair falls long and loose, and her brown eyes look straight at you. Nightlife edge is the look: a metallic top, sharp tailoring, one streak of silver that catches the light. Heads turn; she does not notice.

Bold and spontaneous, she is always up for a change of plan. She has a quick, dark sense of humour and a laugh that turns heads. Conversation, in English, is fast and full of observations. Street photography is her passion, the city at night above all, and she carries two rolls of film and always runs out. Winters mean snowboarding, as often as she can manage. Stand-up comedy is her other obsession, and she will happily take you to an open mic on a whim.

Her Waterloo evening might start under the South Bank, at the skate space beneath the Queen Elizabeth Hall, where the concrete is layered with graffiti and the skaters perform for nobody. She never uses a flash. She photographs the skaters and the light on the river, then shows you the backup frames on her phone and asks which you like. From there it is a short walk along the embankment to a bar with a view, and she will change the plan three times before the night is over, always for the better.
