Tina, crate digging at Rough Trade East

Small, sure of herself and very good company, Tina is 158 cm of confident energy. Her build is athletic, her hair long and espresso brown, her eyes brown and bright. She is proof that presence has nothing to do with height. Her style is classic with a designer's twist: a navy dress she has taken in herself, a tailored blazer, trainers or heels depending on how far the evening wanders.

Confident, warm and easygoing, she makes friends at a bar in minutes and remembers everyone's name. She speaks English with relaxed humour and hums along to whatever is playing. Fashion design is her training, and she sketches outfits on napkins between courses; ask her about a jacket and she will tell you who cut it. Her Aldgate evening often opens at Rough Trade East on Brick Lane, the big independent record shop inside the Old Truman Brewery, where she flicks through the racks at real speed with the occasional small shout of triumph. From there Brick Lane and Spitalfields have plenty of cocktail bars within a few minutes' walk, and she will choose one with a good soundtrack. She has a rule about never leaving a record shop empty-handed, and she has never broken it. The evening runs on from there, easy and unforced.
